Ice Cream Sundae Party Theme | Vivian's Sweet-As-Sugar 2nd Birthday

We had so much fun designing the invitation and party printables for sweet Miss Vivie! First of all, she's the daughter of one of our best friends here at Allie Logan Designs.  We've been designing for her since before she was even born. But secondly, there's nothing sweeter than an ice cream social on a hot summer day!

Following the trend in designs, this invitation was kept simple with clean fonts and a featured watercolor - inspired image that provided a "wow" factor. Check it out below:

Vivian is cute as she can be, so we happily agreed when her mom asked that our 5" x 7" printed invitations include a full-size picture of her on the back.  Wouldn't you agree?

An ice cream party is really simple. Just gather a few of your closest friends, put out some ice cream and a fun toppings buffet, and let the giggles take over.  For this party, Vivian's mom also included some water play, so guests came in swimwear. But that part's optional. Here are some pictures of the party set-up:
Those plastic ice cream cones, above, are actually drink cups that guests could keep as a party favor - pictured in a closeup below.

As if the ice cream sundaes weren't enough, no birthday party would be complete without cake. Vivian's birthday cake was topped with - what else? A confectionary ice cream cone!

Outside the guests were able to play and mingle. This is also where a gift table was featured, decorated by a sweet ice cream motif banner.
Before they left, party guests received another favor: ice cream popsicle shaped bath sponges.  In lieu of thank favor tags, a special thank-you sign was put on prominent display.
Well, that's a wrap on this simple, sweet party idea. Available vendors are listed below.  If you had any doubt this was a fun idea, just check out the smile on this birthday girl:
